Ocimum Biosolutions, a leading provider of Bioinformatics solutions and Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), announced that Ocimum and Genome Explorations Inc are co-hosting a free technical seminar on "Advances in Gene Expression studies," an interactive and educative meet for scientists, researchers, and corporates involved in Life Sciences Research. Gene expression studies are used for genome-wide assessments of mRNA transcript levels. Considerable research effort is devoted to improve the methods of data generation and interpretation in microarray experiments. These studies are a very powerful tool for studying virtually every disease and trait and can provide valuable insights that are not obtainable with other techniques. Ocimum's CEO Anuradha Acharya said, "We are glad to co-host this event for scientists and researchers involved in cutting edge technology of gene expression studies. DNA microarrays are the most widely used tools for large-scale analysis of gene expression. We see that the largest future market of DNA microarrays is expected to be for clinical diagnostics." The meet aims at familiarizing attendees with the latest developments in Gene Expression Analysis and tools that can revolutionize conventional research methods. This meet will take place in four different cities - New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, officials informed here.
