Ipca receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Chemexcil

Premchand Godha (extreme left) and M R Chandurkar (next to Godha), MDs of Ipca receiving the award from Manohar Joshi, ex-CM, Maharahstra Ipca Laboratories Ltd has received a Life Time Achievement Award from Chemexcil (Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion Council). The award was presented at a function held at Hilton Towers (Hotel Oberoi) on December 14, 2004. Premchand Godha and M R Chandurkar, managing directors of the company received this award from Manohar Joshi (ex- chief minister of Maharashtra and ex-Speaker of Lok Sabha). This award is one more in a series of other prestigious awards that Ipca has been accorded in the past. The company was selected by Forbes as one of the "Best under a Billion" companies outside USA for two consecutive years, a company release said. Ipca is one of India's leading manufacturers and exporters of finished dosage forms, API and intermediates with a top line export growth of 25 per cent with products exported to over 100 countries. Exports contributed US$ 80 million of the company's total turnover of US$ 142 million in 2003-04. Europe accounts for almost 50 per cent of exports.
