IPA Maharashtra celebrates 43rd National Pharmacy Week

The Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Maharashtra State Branch, celebrated the 43rd National Pharmacy Week (NPW) from the 21st to 27th November 2004. The event was organized jointly with Indian Drug Manufacturer's Association (IDMA), Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), All India Organization of Chemists & Druggist (AIOCD) and Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council (MSPC). The national Pharmacy Week was inaugurated by VD Deshmukh, Ex-Commissioner, Food Drugs Administration, Maharashtra State at the Mumbai Educational Trust (MET) auditorium, Institute of Pharmacy at Bandra West, Mumbai. Ram Banarse, president IPA, Maharashtra State Branch, welcomed the dignitaries announcing the theme of the NPW as "Know Your Pharmacist" Subodh Priolkar, president IPA-Centre, Dara Patel, secretary general, Indian Drugs Manufacturers Association and SD Joag, Hon. general secretary, IPA highlighted the achievements of the pharmacy profession. V D Deshmukh presented the Merit Awards to the toppers of the University in Maharashtra for securing highest percentage of marks in final year B Pharm in the year 2004.
