Wockhardt to provide healthcare services to Ex-servicemen

Wockhadt Hospitals has signed a contract with Ex-servicemen contributory health scheme (ECHS) to provide healthcare services. Dr. Lloyd Nazareth, Dean, Wockhadt Hospitals signed the Memorandum of Understanding, with Commodore A, D. Marker at INS ANGRE, Mumbai, on the Republic Day 2005. ECHS was approved by government on 30th December 2002 & commenced from 1 April 2003 with the aim to provide comprehensive & quality medical care to Ex-servicemen & their dependents, by paying a one-time subscription rates as approved by the government. Under the scheme Smart Card called ECHS membership card with in-built security features will be issued to all members of ECHS. Medical Facilities will be provided through the network of Wockhardt Hospitals and its associate polyclinics. The services which will be provided by Wockhardt Hospitals under this scheme are - Surgery: Neuro Surgery, Cardio Thoracic, Vascular Surgery, genitor Urinary, Paediatric Surgery, Gastro Intestinal, Traumatology, Joint replacement, Spinal & Laparascopic Surgery. Medicines Neuro medicines, Cardiology, Respiratory Diseases, Gastro enterology, Endocrinolgoy, Rheumatology, Critical care medicines & Interventional Cardiology.
