16 member high level delegation from 12 African countries to meet at Hyderabad on Feb 5

The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) set up by Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is organising an interactive meet with a 16-member high level delegation of African countries on February 5, 2005 at Hyderabad. The delegation comprising of High Commissioners/Ambassadors of 12 African countries, is visiting Hyderabad between February 2 and 5, 2005. The delegation includes- Abdalmahmood Abdalhaleem Mohammad, Ambassador of Sudan; Ana Maria Carreira, Ambassador of Angloa; Elyes Kasri, Ambassador of Tunisia; Eva Nzaro, High Commissioner of Tanzania; Jonathan Wutawunashe, Ambassador of Zimbabwe; Maj. Gen. Charles DNP Namoloh, High Commissioner of Namibia; Gabriel Fassil, Ambassador of Eriteria; HM Kathurima, High Commissioner of Kenya; SK Walubita, High Commissioner of Zambia. Other delegates include, Desmond Nxiweni, AG. High Commissioner, South Africa; Charlotte Mukankusi, AG. High Commissioner of Rwanda; Ousman Nacambo, AG. High Commissioner of Burkina Faso; Jakova Katuamba, Commercial Counsellor of Namibia; Estevao Jai, Embassy of Angola; Mayoli, South African High Commission; C Poso, Zambia High Commission. Dr PV Appaji, executive director of Pharmexcil, said, this is a good opportunity for the members to know more about export potential for the pharmaceutical products in the African countries and also to express any of the problems being faced by the members to the concerned High Commissioners / Ambassadors concerning their exports to those countries. About 25 Pharmexcil members representing the pharmaceuticals industry from across the country are expected to take part in the meeting. Managing directors and CEOs of pharmaceutical companies can derive maximum benefit by taking part in the meeting, Dr Appaji added.
