NIPER completes first year of training programmes under Capacity Building Project

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), based at S.A.S. Nagar, has completed its first year of the training programmes under Capacity Building Project sponsored by ministry of health & family welfare, Government of India and funded by World Bank. Under the Project, two training programmes of two weeks duration were conducted each for Drug Regulatory Personnel and Government Testing Laboratories, one programme was held for the Staff from Private Testing Laboratories, four for the Production Staff from Small Scale Industries and three for the Analytical Staff from Small Scale Industries. In addition, a Workshop was held for senior government analysts. The training programmes were held every month alternatively for different categories of personnel. 586 participants from all over India were trained against a target of 525, the release said.
