Pharmexcil to take business delegation to Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore in March' 05

The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) is taking a business delegation to Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. The business delegation to the four countries will be visiting between March 4 and 15, 2005. The chairman of Pharmexcil, DB Mody, would lead the delegation to Philippines. Dr PV Appaji, executive director of the Council would conduct the whole tour. The programme is organized under Market Development Assistance (MDA) scheme of the ministry of commerce and industry, Government of India. Pharmexcil would arrange interactive business meetings with officials / manufacturers /trade associations/ major pharmaceutical buyers which would provide an opportunity for the members to develop business deals. The member companies whose export performance is less than Rs 5 crore per annum are eligible for reimbursement under MDA programme to the extent of 90 per cent of Air fare (economy class) in case of SSI units and 75 per cent for Merchant Exporters, subject to a maximum of Rs 60,000, said Dr PV Appaji. Pharmexcil would make its best efforts to provide opportunity to the members for improving their business contacts / information in these countries, Dr Appaji added.
