Chemexcil to conduct Indo-CIS Health Summit on Feb 24-25 at H'bad

The Basic Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Export Promotion Council (Chemexcil) is organizing Indo-CIS Health Summit 2005 on 24 and 25 February, 2005 at Hyderabad. High-level delegation from CIS countries will be meeting senior officials from Indian pharmaceutical companies to discuss issues and opportunities that will benefit both the sides. Tatul Hakobyan, deputy minister of health, Armenia; Irakli Giorgobiani, deputy minister of labour, health and social issues, Georgia; Tashmukamedov Ravshan Irkinovich, president of Pharmed, Uzbekistan; Maryia Shalayeva, director general, Republican Unitary Enterprise, Belarus; Makhamaladi Deavalatov, general director, Institute of Medical Expertise and Procurement, Tajikistan are taking part in the summit. Other officials include Shouqi Jafarov, head specialist, pharma department, ministry of health, Azerbaijan; and Rita Vork, head of department, department of state purchases, Ukraine. EVKS Elangovan, union minister of state for commerce and industry; Sushil Kumar Shinde, Governor of Andhra Pradesh; Ashwini Kumar, DCGI; Satish Wagh, chairman, Chemexcil; Dr Parthasarathy Reddy, CMD of Hetero Drugs and president of BDMA are also to attend the Summit.
