NIPER to hold workshop on 'Regulatory Considerations for Exports of Pharmaceuticals' on May 9-10

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), India is conducting a two-day workshop on 'Regulatory Considerations for Exports of Pharmaceuticals' on May 9-10, 2005 at its campus. Topics for discussion include-Current status of exports from India; Indian and global regulatory environment; Designing a regulatory strategy for exports; Harmonization of regulatory requirements; Entering the generics market in advanced countries; Modern trends in processing and quality control; Intellectual property rights. Lectures to be delivered by eminent faculty drawn from pharmaceutical industry, academia and government agencies, said a NIPER release. The workshop will be beneficial for pharmaceutical professionals engaged in regulatory affairs, R & D, manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceuticals. The workshop will highlight the role of regulations in exports of pharmaceuticals and hence will be of interest to people engaged in business planning and development, the release added.
