The Mumbai-based Wockhardt Hospitals is conducting India's first regional multi centric live workshop which will showcase the advances and latest in the field of Cardiology/Cardiac Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine Surgery to medical professionals in Mumbai, Kolhapur, Nasik and Nagpur on Sunday 17th April.
These advancements which have given patients significant benefits such as faster recovery, less hospitalisation, better quality of life and affordability will be conducted by the Wockhardt team of highly qualified consultants at Mumbai, a release from the company said here.
This workshop will focus on "Advances in Procedures of Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery, Orthopedics & Spine Surgeries." The procedures, which will be performed in this workshop, include - 1. Expandable devices (Cages) for Lumbar Spinal Fusion-Advancement in Spine Surgery, which is effective in relieving pain and disability in patients of Degenerative Disc Disease (or DDD) and the definitive treatment for low back pain sufferers;
2. Hip Resurfacing / Surface Replacement Surgery (New generation Hip Replacement)-Advancement in Orthopedic Surgery; 3. Vahre Replacement Surgery along with correction of Atrial Fibrillation using Radio Frequency Ablation (Maze III procedure); 4. Carotid Angioplasty; 5. Trans-catheter closure of Atrial Septal Defect (Non operative closure of ASD (hole in the heart) using device).
