The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (FICCI) is organising a national consultation on draft National Biotech Development Strategy of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) at Hyderabad on May 4, 2005.
The event is part of the nationwide consultations DBT has planned with industry association support before finalizing the strategy. The draft presents a new regulatory framework for promoting the growth of India's Biotechnology industry through public-private partnerships. Dr M K Bhan, secretary, DBT and his team of senior officials would be available for direct interaction with the delegates, FICCI has informed.
DBT gives much importance to the consultation, as it will help them understand the industry perspective and accordingly shape the final strategy paper.
