Healthcare portal, Mediprocure.com to be launched soon

The Hyderabad-based L T Solutions Pvt Ltd, a software company promoted by US-based non-resident Indians, is planning to launch Mediprocure.com, a comprehensive healthcare portal, within the next few weeks. Claimed to be the country's first and the biggest site of its kind, Mediprocure.com, derives its e-framework methodology from eHealthgroup.com, a global application service provider for healthcare arena. Company sources informed that the site has been segregated into three segments, namely eProcure, eConnect and eAuctions, to fulfill the requirements of the healthcare industry. While the eProcure is the medical equipment and consumables procurement marketplace, eAuctions is an online auction exchange, with capabilities of dynamic pricing. EConnect is a comprehensive knowledge base on health information, diverse medical resources, data banks and patient care information. According to Siva S Peruvemba, B2B Development Director, the B2B procurement site is to combine business process redesign, design and implementation of web-based technology to deliver the most effective supply chain process, enabling highly efficient purchase. " It streamlines procurement by providing buyers the ability to search, track, obtain indents and execute online orders. With our innovative web-based tools and resources, buyers and vendors work together in an information-driven marketplace to reduce transaction costs', he claimed. The company has announced, as an inaugural offer, 20 free transactions to the members who get themselves registered now. The eAuctions will enable the users to bid on thousands of medical and healthcare products. The company claims to have a continuously evolving inventory of health and medical products. The other major features of the site include organized re-selling, global exchange market, efficient clearing of products, increased operational efficiency and buyer/seller feedback. The third component, the knowledge based portal is expected to provide a window on the current medical research as well as daily commentaries on health stories in the news. A medical library is also made available here. The company aims at a regular updation of the library by a dedicated staff. A data bank providing information relating to doctors, hospitals, pharmacies, ambulances, bloodbanks and blood donors is planned. A medical gallery featuring the latest addition of books on medicine and health, medical CDs, latest medical software downloads and medical trivia will also be a special feature of eConnect.
