The AP Drugs Control Administration (APDCA) has sent a proposal to the State Government to fill up 10 posts in the department’s drug testing laboratories. The pressure to recruit the staff for the testing labs has been mounting for some time with a spurt in the number of testing samples for investigation from Hyderabad and adjoining cities and also on account of vacancies caused by promotion of existing staff.
APDCA has two testing labs, one at Hyderabad and the other at Vijayawada. The 10 posts will be filled up at both the labs, R Ranga Rao, director, AP DCA told Pharmabiz.
The AP DCA has submitted the proposal to the State Government in this regard and the State Govt is expected to sanction the same, soon, Rao added.
