InduSSpray sets up aerosole contract manufacturing unit

InduSSpray, a packaging solutions provider of aerosols, liquid and paste products for the pharmaceutical sector, has invested Rs one crore to set-up an advanced facility for contract manufacture of oral inhalation and nasal aerosols, besides topical application pharmaceutical products and cosmetics. The facility is located at the Bommasandra IV Phase on the Hosur Road, in the outskirts of Bangalore in a 26,000 sq. ft. campus with a built up area of 7,500 sq. ft. having a GMP (good manufacturing practices) compliant filling line. Its 3 production lines have a capacity of 5 lakh cans per month. The facility can also formulate deodorants, body sprays, oral sprays and perfumes matching with internationally known brands and have the capability to handle both alcoholic and non-alcoholic preparations. The metered dose inhaler (MDI) manufacturing line is designed for hydrofluoroalkane (HFA), an ozone friendly propellant, and chlorofluorocarbon (CFC), Srivathsa, managing partner, InduSSpray told Pharmabiz.com The MDI is portable, convenient and primarily used to deliver accurate, reproducible doses of medication to asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) sufferers. “ There is no major contract manufacturing facility available in South India for the Aerosols, ours in fact is one of the largest facilities in India. We already enjoy a leadership position in contract manufacturing services since the last five years and with this plant, we expect to cater to the steadily growing volume of business,” said Shashidhar, managing partner, InduSSpray. InduSSpray provides complete services from support through development to manufacturing and final product distribution. Its existing facility at the Veerasandra Industrial Area on Hosur Road was set up for production of topical applications for ayurveda and allopathic products.
