Seminar on "Graduate Pharmacist- Challenges and Opportunities" held in PDM College

PDM. College of Pharmacy organized an Orientation cum Seminar Program on "Graduate Pharmacist- Challenges and Opportunities" on 16th August 2005 at college campus for Pharmacy students. Prof. Arun Garg Principal of P.D. M. College of Pharmacy, welcomed all the speakers and presented a brief report about activities of the Pharmacy College. Prof. Jag Mohan, Director Bio-Medical Engineering and Basic Sciences emphasized on 'Quality Technical Education in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences'. The Chief Guest of the Seminar P.D. Sheth (Former Vice President, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd.) presented the topic "Emerging trends in Global Pharma Business." He gave a bird eye view on Global Pharma industry, emerging trends in Indian Pharmaceutical Industry Sector, the Indian global Pharma Companies and its opportunities, and the training and the skills needed for a Pharmacy graduate to be a Successful technocrat in the industry. The Guest of honour Atul Kr. Nasa, senior drug inspector, Govt. of Delhi, gave a lecture on "Opportunities Drug Regulatory Department". He presented the various career opportunities in drug control departments in the country and also stressed that for export of drugs in various countries, the pharmacist should be well aware of the latest drugs regulatory requirements of the countries where the drugs are to be exported.
