GNA Patent Gurukul offers new courses in patent

Dr. Gopakumar G. Nair, a leading pharma consultant and past President of IDMA is to start a Patent Training course named as GNA Patent Gurukul premised on procedural techno-legal basics and practices in Patents. It is aimed at the industry professionals and academicians as well as fresh graduates from technical institutions who are aspiring to excel in Patent related career. GNA Patent Gurukul is a first of its kind endeavor to congregate law, science and management to unleash the patent realm providing the most awaited and much needed interface between industry and academia. Courses include PG Diploma in Patent Basics & Introduction to IPR— Three months course, emphasis on concepts of subject matter, criteria, different filing procedures and office actions; PG Diploma in Patent Law and Procedures— Three months course intended to converse the students with prior art search, specification & claims drafting and filing of Patent application; PG Diploma in Patent Litigation— Three months course focused on infringement analysis, jurisdiction issues and related legal proceedings supported with current case laws of global value. The courses will be conducted at C-DAC Classroom and Conference Hall of Thakur Polytechnic, Thakur Complex, Kandivali (East). Lawyers, Doctors / Computer Professionals / R&D Scientist having Graduation / Post graduation and PhD qualifications, those who have a bachelor's degree in Science / Technology / Pharma are eligible for the courses. A few seats for IP / Patent passionate fresh / final year students in Engg. / Science / Pharmacy. Faculties consist of dignitaries of IP field, leading Attorneys of country, International visiting Faculties ably supported by in-house vibrant lawyers and scientists, informed the officials.
