Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited and the Promotor group companies -Fortis Healthcare Ltd., Fortis Securities Ltd. and the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre Ltd., have together contributed Rs 1 Crore (Rs 50 Lakhs in cash and Rs 50 Lakhs in essential medicines) towards relief efforts following wide spread devastation caused by the earthquake that struck Kashmir on 8th October 2005. The donation is being made to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
