BrainLAB, Varian Medical extend supply and distribution agreements

BrainLAB, a worldwide leading innovator in image-guided medical technology, and Varian Medical Systems, extended their global supply and distribute agreement for the Novalis and m3 products. The agreement extends through 2010, reflecting the strong commitment by both companies to bring the most advanced solutions in cancer therapy to clinicians and patients. Novalis, the software driven neurosurgery technology, is able to treat both benign and malignant tumours, AVMs and functional disorders with single or multi-fractionation and IMRT. Novalis systems are used to treat thousands of patients each year, for a wide range of indications including cancers of the brain, head and neck, spine, liver, lung and prostate. BrainLAB's continuous focus on software innovation and strong partnerships with industry leaders, such as Varian Medical Systems, keeps Novalis at the forefront of technology, states a company release.
