The Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) set up a new pharmaceutical biotechnology laboratory on 15th November, 2005. The laboratory was inaugurated by Dr. R.S.P Roa, dean, KMC, Manipal.
Dr. Roa said, "Pharmaceutical biotechnology is a emerging area and B.Pharm., M.Pharma. and Ph.D candidates will benefit from the new research laboratory."
Prof. P. Ellaiah, head. Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Andhra University; J. Venkat Rao, head, Department of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, MCOPS and Dr. N. Udupa, principal, MCOPS were also present at the inauguration.
