Indo-China pharma symposium to be held at Hyderabad on Dec 5

Richmond Chemical Corporation is hosting an Indo-China pharmaceutical symposium “Opportunities for Growth and Development in the Indo-China Pharmaceutical Industry” on December 5, 2005 in Hyderabad at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology. The event is being organised with the patronage of Richmond Chemical Corporation and with the support of the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, The Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIOC/CAS) and Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT). Professor Jiang Biao, director of the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, will lead the Chinese delegation. The symposium will provide a forum for presentation, specific discussions on chemical research and technology transfer, and open sessions for networking and exchanging of ideas with the objective of promoting the channels of communication for the exchange of innovative ideas among Chinese and Indian scientists and industry leaders. Richmond Chemical Corporation aims at promoting the channels of communication between the pharmaceutical industries in these countries, and to provide a high-value forum in which to cultivate future research and development collaborations, through this symposium. Richmond Chemical Corporation is a Schaumburg, IL (USA) based chemical and biotechnology company, with a number of manufacturing partners in Europe and Asia. The Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry-Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIOC-CAS) was founded in May 1950, following the merger of the Institute of Chemistry of the former Central Academy of Sciences with the Institute of Chemistry and Institute of Materia Medica of the former Peking Academy of Sciences. SIOC is involved in numerous collaborative projects with national and foreign enterprises, including the Sunve-SIOC Joint Pharmaceutical Research Centre, the Unliver-SIOC Joint Lab, and the Huahai Pharmaceutical Joint Research Centre. It has established cooperative and commercial relationships with over ten trans-national chemical and pharmaceutical companies from Europe, America and Japan.
