Thirteen Scientists have received Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) Young Scientists Awards for the year 2005-06. President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam presented the awards at the Indian Science Congress in Hyderabad yesterday.
The awardees include Ajay Kumar, Kurukshetra for Chemical Sciences; Rathinam Aravindhan, Chennai for Environmental sciences; Rajashree Patra, Kolkata for Medical Sciences; Manas Kumar Santra for New Biology; D Sunder, Pondicherry for Plant Sciences.
Each awardee received Rs 25,000 in cash and a Certificate.
