Sinhgad College organizes programme on 'techniques & methods in new drug discovery research'

Sinhgad Technical Education Society's Sinhgad College of Pharmacy organized AICTE sponsored Staff Development Programme on 'Techniques and Methods in New Drug Discovery Research' from 17th April to 29th April 2006. This two-weeks programme was inaugurated by Dr. Bharat K. Trivedi, CSO, Medicinal Chemistry- Drug Discovery Research Wockhardt Research Center, Aurangabad. M N Navale, Founder President of Sinhgad Technical Education Society welcomed the guests and dignitaries. Dr. K.S. Jain, Principal, Sinhgad College of Pharmacy proposed the vote of thanks. In the programme, speakers from various parts of the country representing Research institutes, Pharmaceutical industries as well as Academia delivered lectures and shared their valuable experiences on various aspects of New Drug Discovery Research such as QSAR, 3 D QSAR, CADD, Combinatorial Chemistry, Stereochemistry, Polymorphism, High throughput Synthesis and Screening, Prodrugs, ADME, Toxicological aspects, Clinical Trials, Bioinformatics, Intellectual Property Rights and its implications in NDDR as well as Green Chemistry which includes, use of Microwave, Phase Transfer Catalysis and Sonochemistry for chemical synthesis.
