The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority has fixed / revised the prices of three bulk drugs and 256 formulation packs. The revised prices would see Aspirin + Clopidogrel Sulphate capsules costing Rs.27.22 for a strip of 10 tablets. The price of Aspirin tablets of 500 mg in packs of 30 strips will be Rs.8.53 and that of Aspirin tablets of 162.5 mg in strips of 14 will cost Rs.2.20, stated an official release.
As per a notification dated May 19, the prices of bulk drug Benzathine Penicillin MRP is to be Rs 2288.00 per kg. Bulk drug Parachlorometaxylenol would cost Rs 270 per kg while the NPPA fixed price for Amodiquine HCl is Rs 704 per kg. All MRPs exclusive of excise duty and local taxes, the release said.
The formulations whose prices have been revised / fixed are Quiniodochlor, Lincomycin, Chloroquine, Theophylline+Hyd, Ethyl Theophylline, Aspirin with combination, Multivitamin, Metronidazole with combinations, Frusemide with Spironolactone, Oxytetracyclinex, Doxycycline with combinations, Amoxycillin with combination, Salbutamol with combination, Betamethasone with combinations, Sulphamethoxazole with combinations, Vitamin E combinations, Adrenochrome with combinations, Ciprofloxacin with combinations, Prednisolone, Rifampicin with combinations, Ranitidine with combinations, Ibuprofen with combinations, Penicillin G, Norfloxacin, Norfloxacin with combinations, Cefazolin Sodium, Cefotaxime with combinations, Carbamezapine, Oxcarbazepine, Famotidine, Pentazocine, Pseudoephedrine with combinations, Riboflavin, Vitamin B1 and Gentamycin with combinations.
