IIR holds clinical partnering meet in Mumbai

The Institute for International Research is launching Clinical Partnering with India, on November 13-15 in Mumbai. This is IIR's first event dedicated to clinical partnering and development between US pharmaceutical/ biotech companies and Indian and international clinical outsourcing providers. Led by a US speaking faculty, the programme content will include: o The nuts & bolts of US companies conducting trials in India o Understanding and meeting the clinical outsourcing needs of US companies o Entering and managing clinical development partnerships between US and India o An in-depth look at the vast opportunities and services Indian CROs offer o Commercial Opportunities The 3-day event will cover a range of topics such as Landscape of drug development in India; The clinical development process; Regulatory update; Outsourcing opportunities, challenges and finding the right partner for the sponsors and clinical service providers; Contracts and budgets; Site selection; Patient enrollment and a look at how advertising for patient recruitment is viewed; Handling clinical samples and navigating the clinical supply chain; Data capture and monitoring; What it takes to building an office and An inside into commercial opportunities. There will also be an interactive Q&A section on various aspects pertaining clinical research. The conference includes field trips to visit a CRO and hospital, an official release said.
