Dr Reddy's Laboratories is holding a series of symposia on Gastro Intestinal (GI) Cancer in Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and Kolkata between July 7 and 9, 2006. The initiative is towards creating an interface between international oncology opinion leaders and Indian medical fraternity.
As part of this initiative, the company has organised a symposium 'Meet the Star 2006' on GI Cancer on Thursday at Hyderabad. Over 400 leading oncologists took part in the meet.
The key note speaker at the symposium is Dr Richard Goldberg from the University of North Carolina, a leading expert in the field of GI cancers and chief of Division of Haematology and Oncology.
GI cancer is one of the third most common cancers found worldwide. New research and protocols are under development in this field.
