The Hyderabad-based Zenitix Biosciences is expecting to complete the work on final modules of its ZAZEN framework by the end of September 2006. ZAZEN is a long-term effort to create a data integration platform for knowledge management and decision support. Zenitix provides knowledge management, decision support and informatics solutions from life sciences, chemistry and clinical research organizations. It extends the data information, and knowledge paradigm to decision making, according to Shreeram Dittakavi of Zenitix Biosciences. ZAZEN also provides the necessary tools for project management, workflow automation, quality management and metrics, product data management, standards compliance and best practices. It is designed to independently support bioinformatics analysis, chem-informatics analysis and clinical data management. ZAZEN is well prototyped and tested. The framework provides the computing power required for complex biological and chemistry calculations and predictions; the storage required; ontological knowledge bases; workflow management; connecting to public and private networks; integrating with legacy systems; thin client, thick client and think client interfaces; core analytics engine with computational biology, chemistry and image processing algorithms, he added. cLIMIcal, a multi-site laboratory infrastructure and information management system developed for Bioequivalence CROs. cLIMIcal handles electronic data capture, Laboratory information management system and clinical data management. cLIMIcal is designed adhering to the best practices and standards like US FDA 21 CFR Part 11. cLIMIcal provides seamless access to sponsors, CRO management, independent review boards.
