Choksi Labs enters into clinical research segment

Indore based Choksi Laboratories Limited (CLL), a group of research laboratories and consulting offices offering analysis, calibration, pollution control, research and consultancy services to a broad spectrum of industries has entered into the area of clinical research. The contract research facility of CLL is ready at Vapi. Speaking to pharmabiz.com, Vyangesh Choksi, Director CLL informed that the clinical research facility is capable of conducting bioavailability and bio-equivalence studies. The entry into CR happens during its silver jubilee year, Vyangesh added. The CLL facility, a 40-bed clinical research facility for carrying out bio-availability and bio-equivalence studies, is located at Vapi, Gujarat. CLL is scouting for strategic partners and opportunities to take the facility to next level, Vyangesh said. The centre is equipped with a bio-analytical laboratory, a clinical central reference laboratory, intensive monitoring unit, pharmacy, volunteer screening area and two CPUs. The Bio-Analytical Laboratory is equipped with LC-MS/MS, HPLCs-PDA/FLD/UV, -80 and 25 Deg C storage and auto-extractors. The clinical reference laboratory is equipped with automated instrumentation for Biochemistry, Hematology, Serology and Urinanalysis. Drugs-of-abuse and Alcohol screening is also available. "Due to the location of our clinical research facility, CLL has access to a huge population base, " Vyangesh felt. According to him, CLL's key advantage is its existing relationship with pharmaceutical companies. "One of our key competencies is contract laboratory services for pharmaceutical quality control and quality assurance. Our services address almost every aspect of regulatory norms set by FDA, BIS, Department of Health and other Standards bodies. We assist organizations to achieve extra-ordinary standards of quality in their products, processes and people," he explained. CLL also has an impressive clientele base in pharmaceutical sector.
