Spinal Concepts Inc has signed an agreement with AlloSource, one of the nation's largest nonprofit tissue bank cooperatives, to produce, market and distribute the Natural Selection System PLIF (Posterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion) Wedge. The design of this new allograft product allows AlloSource to utilize tissue more effectively than before. "We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to enter into a relationship with a market-leading tissue processor like AlloSource," said Jeff Binder, president and chief executive officer for Spinal Concepts. "This strategic partnership enables Spinal Concepts to further enhance our product portfolio and continue to provide surgeons with a broad range of spinal devices. In particular, this new product, used in conjunction with our BacFix System, allows us to address the interbody and posterior hardware needs of spinal surgeons. We look forward to further innovations resulting from this synergistic alliance." "Joining forces with Spinal Concepts represents one of several innovative ways that AlloSource is strategically working to meet the growing demands of the human allograft industry," said Tom Cycyota, president and chief executive officer of AlloSource. "With this latest product offering, AlloSource is increasing the life enhancing benefits of allografts while setting the foundation for future advancements in bone grafting," he said.
