IDMA conducts pharma analysts' meet

The Indian Drug Manufactures Association (IDMA) held tenth Pharmaceutical Analysts Conversation (PAC) 2006, recently at Mumbai. The theme of the meet was US FDA approvals for Indian pharma firms. The convention has designed to cater to the current and future needs of the pharma industry. The experts from the US FDA and Indian pharma industry have lined up and shared their expertise. The chief guest of the meet was Amitabh Chandra, commissioner FDA Maharashtra. Dr Vinay G Nayak, chairman APA and IDMA, said, "Indeed this was the most successful convention in India for the pharmaceutical industry. There was around 350 dignitary analyst was had their presence under the one roof for the tenth PAC 2006. We have also contributed immensely by bringing such experts to country at a time when knowledge was most essential to cope up with the phenomenal growth of the pharma industry". The IDMA has also awarded annual Eminent International Scientist awards to Dr Hari Nagardona associated director of Kendle, Dr Matthew Borer, senior technical leader of Eli Lilly and Excellence in Regulatory Sciences award to Dr S P Adeshara, Food and Drug Control Administration of Gujarat. It has also awarded Anthony R Gomes, director, quality control formulations, Dr Reddy's Laboratories for Eminent Pharmaceutical Analyst.
