7 Chemicals, an Ahmedabad-based exporter of pharmaceutical raw material, finished formulations and chemicals, has entered into a strategic marketing alliance with a Canadian company SWISS Herbal to market herbal products in the Canadian market.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two companies, 7 Chemicals will export herbals products like psyllum husk, aloe vera, cosmetics and products for vitality in semi finished form to Canada and the partners will pack and jointly market the products in the Canadian market. The current deal is worth about US$1.5 million and is likely to add more products in near future, said Rakesh Ohri, managing director, 7 Chemicals.
He said the company has opened an office in Canada and is in the process of recruiting BPharma/Mpharma graduates from India. As reported, 7 Chemicals recently signed an exclusive marketing deal with the Canadian generics major Apotex to market its products in the Russian and CIS countries.
As per that agreement, Apotex will supply bulk drugs in semi-finished form to 7 Chemicals, which will process and pack the drugs in Russia through its partner Patchem Preparthy, a large-scale drug maker in the province of Tartasten. 7 Chemicals will market about thirty products in various therapeutic segments of Apotex in Russia and CIS. Apotex also has a supply agreement with Aeromed of Azerbaijan to supply oncology, cardiovascular and gastroenterological drugs, worth 2 million USD per annum. 7 Chemicals have a tie-up with this company and some of the products are contract manufactured in India by 7chemicals.
7 Chemicals has marketing offices in Moscow, Georgia and Azerbaijan, Armenia, Chile, Philippines and South Africa and exports products to about 45 countries.
