Hitech Institute to conduct short term course for pharma graduates

The Hitech Institute of Advanced Pharmaceutical Sciences in association with the Natco Pharma is organizing a short term industry orientation course for pharmacy graduates from January 20. The eighth batch of nine-week course will be organised at Natco's premises and the total intake for the course will be 60 candidates per batch. Several experts from pharma industry are expected to deliver lectures and share their experiences with the participants of the course. As the pharmaceutical industry is facing a severe shortage of skilled manpower, these types of courses will go a long way in benefiting both the graduates and the industry, Course-director M Venkata Reddy. The course will cover various issues such as US FDA regulations, IPR, patents, validation & stability studies, modern analytical techniques, industrial safety aspect, pollution and environmental aspect, internal audits, GMP, cGMP, GLP, GCP, etc. Besides, pre-clinical and clinical studies, unit operation and common reactions in API manufacture, particle size analysis and other matters related to drug discovery and storage will be discussed in the course including Indian and International regulatory procedures for dug approval, Reddy informed.
