Chemtech to organise Pharma World Expo in Mumbai

The twenty-third edition of the Chemtech Pharma World Expo will be held at the NSE Complex, Goregaon, Mumbai, from February 6 to 10, 2007. The Expo will display state-of-the-art technologies in the chemical processing, pharma, environmental and biotech sectors. Panel discussions, conferences and seminars on diverse issues related to the sectors such as chemical processing, pharma, environmental and biotech would be held in the five-day Expo. The organiser expects delegations from 22 countries and pavilions from Germany, France, China and Taiwan. The expected participants from India are more than 700. Through the Chemtech series of events, the foundation has catalysed the industrial growth by creating a platform for strategic alliances and foreign investments in India. These expositions are world-class in stature and will serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and meeting place for both domestic and international companies, central and state government officials and research institutions and academicians, organiser claims. International conferences on issues such as managing competitiveness, clinical research, knowledge process outsourcing, AIDS vaccine research, nanotechnology, ethical, legal, regulatory and technological barriers in the pharma industry; industrial and urban water management, recent developments in the bio-pharma industry and much more, will be part of the exhibition. Satwant Reddy, secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Govt of India; Nikhil Meswani, executive director, Reliance Industries Ltd.; Ajay Piramal, chairman, Nicholas Piramal Ltd. and Dr Ashok Ganguly, chairman, ICICI One Source Ltd, will address the inaugural function.
