California-based AnaSpec Inc, a leading provider of integrated proteomics solutions to pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic research institutions throughout the world, has introduced its new line of AnaTag protein labelling kits as a convenient method for labelling proteins with AnaSpec dyes. The labelling of proteins and antibodies with fluorescent dyes can play a crucial role in flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry and fluorescent in-situ hybridisation techniques. Incorporating its high performance HiLyte Fluor dyes in a ready-to-use kit. AnaTag protein labelling kits are designed for fast and convenient kit labelling of primary and secondary antibodies. Containing all essential components for conjugation reaction and purification of dye-protein conjugates, AnaSpec notes that labelling time can be as short as 30 minutes. Available in two reaction sizes: micro-scale (200 ug x 3 reactions or 100 ug x 5 reactions) and larger scale (5 mg x 3 reactions). Utilising both AnaSpec's proprietary HiLyte Fluor dyes as well as classic dyes, AnaTag protein labelling span the spectrum from blue to far red and NIR. The succinimidyl ester (SE) reactive form of the labeling dye reacts with the amine group on the protein and forms stable carboxamide bonds, which are identical to and as stable as the natural peptide bond. These dye protein conjugates are very stable and are suitable for immunofluorescent staining, fluorescence in situ hybridization, flow cytometry and other biological applications. With a vision for innovation through synergy, AnaSpec focuses on three core technologies, peptides, detection reagents (dyes, assay kits and antibodies), and combinatorial chemistry.
