Venus Remedies inaugurates phase III Baddi project

Venus Remedies Ltd informed that the company's phase III project at Baddi, consisting of two dedicated plants, one for liquid injectible filling in glass vials and second for injections in ampoule form, was inaugurated recently. The two plants will cater to a wide variety of specialty products in the anti-biotic, anti-emetic, NSAID, anti-Viral, anti-microbial, anti-allergic and muscle relaxant segments. Each facility has a production capacity of approximately 100,000 pieces day in single shift of 8 hours. With this, now only the final phase of this Rs 100 crore Baddi project consisting of two dedicated plants and the R&D centre remains, for which the work is progressing rapidly. Out of the eight planned facilities, six have been completed, with the two facilities of first phase running in full, the second phase 2 facilities having just launched commercial production and the latest 2 facilities under validation and trial runs. These modern facilities created by the company have complete automation- from filling till final packaging and the latest surveillance equipment to ensure delivery of zero-defect product to its customers. These manufacturing facilities have been set up strictly as per international guidelines keeping in view the ultimate goal of the company for entering regulated markets with its innovative range of products. The new plants have been put on trial runs and the commercial production is likely to start June onwards. The R&D wing of the company has a steady flow of products ready for launch from the newly created facilities and these shall be launched very shortly in the domestic market by the company, both under its strategic tie-up division and its own domestic operations divisions. Negotiations are also underway for launch of the new products in overseas markets.
