Interphex Japan 2007 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight Stadium

Japan is all set to host Interphex Japan, API 2007 and International Bio Forum and Bio expo simultaneously. It has organised under the aegis of Reed Exhibitions Japan Ltd, the three concurrent events will be held at the Tokyo Big Sight Stadium from June 20-22, 2007. The events will witness a gathering of tens of thousands of pharmaceutical industry professionals and technical experts, where innovative ideas will be diffused for the better future of the pharma industry. It is for the first time an international trade fair specialized in API is set in motion alongside the 20th Interphex and 6th Bio Forum and Bio Expo. More than 10,000 API specialists are expected to exhibit their products at the event. The fair opens doors to many beneficial business meetings. The event usually attracts visitors from China, India, Singapore, Europe, and USA. API Japan brings together many specialists who are deeply concerned with ingredients selection and manufacturing. By holding alongside Interphex Japan, API 2007 is expected to attract more visitors. The event will also focus on future possibilities and potentials of active pharmaceutical ingredients. According to organizers, Interphex Japan is the Asia's largest pharmaceutical industry event with 1,300 exhibitors and 60,000 visitors. At the venue, business meetings are enthusiastically held between professionals of pharmaceutical manufacturers and exhibitors from all over the world. Inside concurrently held "Technical Conference," a large number of sessions and seminars also attract a large number of attendees as the best place for enhancing knowledge on the latest trends in the pharmaceutical industry. International Bio Forum and Bio Expo Japan is Asia's largest bio event with 600 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors. The 250 sessions/seminars held as part of the event attract strong attention as the best place for enhancing knowledge on life science. This event is widely known as a comprehensive bio event of all bio-related people, products, technologies and information from all across Asia. The conference session at Interphex Japan and API 2007 will begin on June 20 with talk on 'Future Prospects of the Japanese Pharmaceutical Industry and Tips for Further Development'. Dr Hiroshi Akimoto, managing director, Takeda Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. will speak on Global and Intellectual Property Strategies of Pharmaceutical Companies--Patent Wars in Drug Discovery towards 2010, while Masatake Miyoshi, managing director, senior analyst, research Dept., Merrill Lynch Japan Securities Co., Ltd. will talk on Japan Pharma Industry Today: management strategy for Japanese Pharmaceutical Companies. While the international Bio Forum and Bio Expo Japan will host a gathering of three speakers later in the day with focus on post genome sequencing creates new industries --stages of academic-industry collaboration. Dr. Yusuke Nakamura, professor, director, Human Genome Centre, Lab. of Molecular Medicine, Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo, will offer his views on current and future prospects of genome medicine. Dr Toichi Takenaka, co-chairman, chairman of the Board, Astellas Pharma Inc. will speak on the avenues that are opening up in his presentation Astellas Opens Up the Way to Survive and Dr Regis B Kelly, Director, QB3 / Professor, University of California San Francisco, will have his talk cantered on 'Partnering California's Universities with Industry'. A special session will be held on June 21 on IT Strategies for Surviving Fierce Competitions in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Shunji Shigetomi, vice president, information systems, Astellas Pharma Inc will enlighten the audience with 'IT Strategy of Astellas and the Next Step'. The next speaker Koji Noguchi Head, Global System Support Dept., Information Technology, Novartis Pharma K.K will dwell on Introduction of Novartis IT Project Management Methodology and the Role of CIO'.
