Aurobindo's amlodipine besylate tabs gets US FDA nod

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has received approval from the US FDA for amlodipine besylate tablets 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg. This is the company's fifth anti-hypertensive approval from US FDA. Amlodipine besylate tablets 2.5 mg; 5 mg and 10 mg are the generic equivalent of Pfizer's Norvasc tablets and are indicated for the treatment of hypertension. The brand product has approximately annual sales of USD 2.8 billion.
