IPC Trust conducts seminar on 'pharmacy career-challenges and opportunities'

The 54th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Trust conducted a free seminar on 'pharmacy career-challenges and opportunities'. More than 150 students attended the seminar with their parents. Dr Janhavi Rao, council member of IPA and professor of Bharti Vidyapeeth, said in her welcome address that Pharmacy was not only a para-medical course but is now offering better options as there are plenty of opportunities available now. Dr Shirish Kulkarni, director innovation cell, pharma research Lupin Ltd, Pune, said that with new innovations and new drugs being the order and demand of the day, a pharmacist in research and development would be taking big strides towards success. Srividya Ravi explained the benefits that a pharmacist would enjoy in the pharma manufacturing industry. She emphasized that putting the right foot forward at the manufacturing site would spell sure success to climb the hierarchy ladder. Dr MD Burande, secretary of 54th IPC Trust also addressed the gathering.
