A high level US delegation will be visiting the country to participate in the 4th Indo-US Economic Summit which will be held from September 18 to 20 in New Delhi. The summit will discuss the various business opportunities in the country including on 'medical and healthcare services'.
The US delegation comprises of 250 of the largest US companies investing in India, joined by two dozen global Indian companies, whose common aim is to strengthen US-India commercial ties and deepen two-way trade. The session on medical and health services will be held on September 19.
Prominent personalities who are expected to be present in the summit included Deepak Pahwa, President, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, William Nobrega, President and CEO, Conrad Group, US, David C Mulford, US Ambassador to India, S S Menon, Foreign Secretary, Government of India, Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission and Vinod Madhok, Regional President, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce.
The session on medical and healthcare services will include topics on emerging trends in healthcare in India, investment opportunities in healthcare, the debut of nano-technology and opportunities & challenges in medical tourism.
