Venus Remedies has got success in getting another of its research product, a FDC of cephalosporin with an amino-glycoside, registered in Ukraine and got regulatory approval for selling in this market.
This unique combination formulation, developed by Venus Research Wing, is a proven remedy for H.A.P., C.A.P. and Febrile Neutropenia and was launched in domestic market in September 2006 after phase - III clinical trials and DCGI approval for the same. This product has become an approx. INR 200 million product since launch and now, the company has got success in getting the market authorization for Ukraine for this innovative formulation from the MoH, Trade Administration on Medicines & Medicinal Devices.
The company has already filed for an International Patent for this unique formulation in Ukraine and an order for bulk supplies of this formulation to Ukraine is under execution with the company. Ukraine being one of the largest markets of CIS, the company is expecting good volume of sales of this specialty injectible being a specialty formulation and a sure shot remedy for Hospital Acquired Pneumonia. This product registration is projected to be a good contributor to the export revenue of the company.
