BPL Healthcare Business Group (BPL HCBG) is embarking on a major expansion into the homecare segment. The company has introduced two new nebulisers for aerosol therapy for asthmatic patients, the Airjolie 1 and Airjolie 2. Both the products would cater to the homecare segment besides the use in the hospitals and clinics for asthmatic patients.
Brig. Anil Bhat, COO, HBG, said that the company was aggressively marketing its cardiology point of care products as well as its new nebulisers aimed at alleviating asthma and related ailments." We intend to achieve a turnover of over Rs 40 crore and infuse new energy into out dealer network with a range of these new products," he said.
BPL HCBG aims at selling 20,000 units of the nebulisers by making these international standard homecare products affordable to the Indian market. The nebulisers will be marketed through the 130-plus dealer network across India, who will promote the machines directly to general practitioners.
With a large number of people who suffer from asthma due to the high pollution levels prevalent in the metros, the nebulisers serve as one of the most effective methods of delivering the asthma treatment drug directly for immediate relief.
