In a bid to provide relief to scores of patients suffering from pain during pre and post operative conditions, Neuro Products (India) Pvt. Ltd., has now introduced InterX device for pain management in South Asia and Middle East markets.
The product is designed and developed by the Neuro Resource Group, US and Neuro Products (India) is the authorized distributor for the same. It has been available in US and Europe for the last two years.
According to Sridharan Santhanam, head, sales, Neuro Products India for South Asia and Middle East region, InterX is a novel medical device approved by US FDA Europe regulatory authorities for the treatment of acute and chronic pain.
InterX 5002 is also recommended for Neuropathic and nociceptive pain conditions, besides muscle cramps and spasm. It is a portable, handheld interactive neuro stimulation device which is now is available at hospitals specifically for the departments of orthopaedics, physiotherapy and sports medicine. It delivers highly specific, targeted, dynamic electrical stimulation that can shorten the recovery from surgery or injury and provide relief from excruciating pain.
The devise is priced between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 3 lakh depending on the electrode attachments, stated Santhanam.
Clinical trials have been published in medical journals, proving the impressive efficacy of InterX. A peer review published in the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery (Br), Vol 89-B11, Issue 11 reports the positive outcome of the clinical trial carried out in US hospitals. "This is one more significant clinical study that reinforces what thousands of patients tell us daily. This study further supports our effort to help patients," said Sean Browne, president and CEO, Neuro Resource Group.
The devise is much-sought after by sportsman and leading orthopaedic centres including the Mayo Clinic, the second largest provider of physiotherapy in the US.
