Hyderabad-based Apollo Cancer Institute will host the International meet - Cancer CI - 2008 (cancer care education & research conference internationale) in association with The New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York & Cure Foundation, in Hyderabad on February 9 and 10.
The conference is being co-hosted by Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI), Indian Society of Oncology (ISO), Indian Society of Medical & Paediatrics Oncology (ISMPO) and Indian Co-operative Oncology Network (ICON).
Union Minister for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdary will launch the "National Apollo Cancer Care Network" on the occasion. National Apollo Cancer Networks links all Apollo Cancer Institutes in the country through telemedicine for the benefit of care of patients on day-to-day basis.
Cancer CI - 2008 is focusing on several aspects, which will upgrade the knowledge and enhance the skills of the doctors with the latest global developments in cancer care, said Dr Vijay Anand Reddy, director, Apollo Cancer Institute.
