Mumbai, the business capital of India is all set to host In-cosmetics India, a leading exhibition cum conference event dedicated to the personal care and homecare ingredients in the country, from September 17 to 18, 2008. Organised under the aegis of Reed Exhibitions in association with Indian Association of Cosmetics Chemists (IACC) and All India Small Scale Cosmetics Manufacturers Association (AISSCMA), this year In-cosmetics India would be held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon. Unlike other events for the personal care and homecare ingrédients, In-cosmetics India is expected to act as an ultimate platform for business and networking amongst these players, by allowing visitors to engage face-to-face with leading niche personal care and homecare ingredients suppliers from India and the rest of the world. "Combining scientific and technical expertise with business enterprise, in-cosmetics India would enable visitors to source new ingredients, network with their peers and keep abreast of the latest global industry developments," said the organisers. As usual, this year too the event would be noted for its high profile exhibition, which is expected to bring together international and Indian suppliers in the field of personal care and homecare ingredients, and conference sessions and workshops that would focus on "formulation". According to the organisers the main attraction of the event would be newly introduced platform "spectrum" that would showcase global innovations on the theme of colour, from haircare to skincare, suncare, decoratives and make-up plus colour symbolism, therapy and psychology. Disclosing the rationale behind organizing In-Cosmetics India, the organizers said, "India's dynamic cosmetics and personal care market is valued at £2,5 billion and is growing annually by 20 per cent. It is the world's third fastest developing market for personal care raw materials, proving fertile ground for the international and Indian companies lining up to exhibit at the show". "In-cosmetics India has now consolidated its position in the region since its 2006 debut and visitor and exhibitor satisfaction levels are very high. Our research also shows that our participants supported a move to a different venue, hence the Bombay Exhibition Centre, which will offer an enhanced show experience," said, Elisa Seminari, Exhibition Manager, in-cosmetics India.
