The Mumbai based healthcare service provider company, Idhasoft Ltd will be acquiring two multinationals and one Indian company in the next three months.
The company has recently invested Rs 5 crore for setting up two new research facilities at Pune and Navi Mumbai. The construction work of the both facilities is over and it is likely to commence operation from September 2008.
Speaking to Pharmabiz, Dr Ramesh Subramaniam, managing director, Idhasoft, said, "In India we are more focusing on healthcare segment. We are in early stage of finalisation of these three acquisitions. Out of three acquisitions two will be in US. In the US, we will be acquiring one clinical research organisation and one technology company, which is specialised in Pacs (radiology) techniques. And in the domestic market, we will be acquiring a mid sized clinical research organisation".
Till now the company has invested Rs 25-30 crore for the products development. At present, 14 products are available in the domestic market and seven more are in the pipeline. All the new products are expected to be commercialised by the end of financial year 2008-09, he said.
The company provides its range of services to healthcare, pharmaceutical and clinical research organisations. It gives end to end service solution for merger and acquisition (M&A), financial restructuring, ERP implementation, product management, supply chain of pharma product, prescription, molecule development and drug management.
The company has launched its specially designed product iHMis (Idhasoft Hospital Management System) product in Pune with implementation in several corporate hospitals in Hyderabad and Chennai. IHMis is an end to end web-based solution catering to various departments like patients care system, OPD, pharmacy, OT, laboratory information management, bio medical, blood bank, radiology - PACs, MRI, cat scan, CSSD, EMR, RFID management.
iHMiS is the only product, which combines rich healthcare functional features and integration to some of the best medical equipment. The product has been developed using microsoft dot net and J2EE platform and therefore has been built with current and future demands of all customers: local/international as the product conforms to global norms and process like HIPPA /JCI/WHO etc.
The application follows a modular approach and is customized to suit the requirements of a 50 to 5000 bed hospital. The product is also well integrated with popular ERP products like oracle and SAP.
Talking about its recent business venture, Subramanian, said, "In Pune, we have already won our first customer from a large infrastructure company, which is building a chain of hospital across Pune and other cities. The business process and Idhasoft iHMiS implementation is to commence shortly. They chose the iHMiS after due diligence for over a year. On top of the iHMiS, hospitals are intending to integrate with their advanced patient care management system".
During the last fiscal 2007-08, it has recorded total turnover of Rs 400 crore and has set a target of Rs. 800-1000 crore for the current financial year.
