CREMA collaborates with WHRL

In an effort to produce competent and industry ready professionals, the Mumbai-based Clinical Research Education and Management Academy (CREMA), a premier institute for training and grooming managers for the clinical research industry, has joined hands with William Harvey Research Limited (WHRL) by signing a collaboration agreement. As per the terms of the agreement, students at CREMA stand a chance to get trained by internationally renowned faculty at WHRL. Toppers from CREMA programmes would be sent for exchange programme as interns at WHRL headquarters at Queen Mary University, London. Revealing more about the collaboration, Vijay Moza, chairman of CREMA said, "Clinical research professionals need to have a global perspective about the field, since clinical trials are conducted globally. Our tie up with WHRL is expected to help our students get global exposure through lectures by global faculty and the exchange programmes." On WHRL's part, Christoph Thiemermann, chief executive officer of William Harvey Research Ltd, said, "We are proud to join hands with CREMA. With India being at the forefront of clinical research revolution, we are confident that CREMA's advanced programmes and reputed faculty, combined with WHRL's global expertise will help produce competent and industry ready professionals" WHRL was founded in 1990 by the nobel laureate Sir John Vane, FRS, as the trading arm of the William Harvey Research Institute, a world renowned centre of excellence in pharmacological research. WHRL has worked with many pharmaceutical companies in the US, Europe and Japan to aid their drug development programmes. CREMA has its centers at Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. CREMA offers courses related to clinical research, including clinical data management and pharmacovigilance. These courses also impart necessary management education to the students.
