Aurobindo Pharma, engaged in manufacturing of generic pharmaceuticals and APIs, has received final US FDA approval for Cefazolin for injection USP 500mg/vial and 1gram/vial. This is a Sterile Cephalosporing product under the anti-infective segment and generic equivalent to Abraxis Pharmaceutical Products' Reference Listed Drug Cefazolin for injections USP 500mg/vial and 1gram/vial.
According to a company press release, this is the third US FDA product approval of the sterile injectable formulation line of Unit Vi-B, situated in Hyderabad. The company has so far received approval for 74 ANDAs.
