Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors' Summit, 2009 to be held on 12-13 Jan

The 4th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors' Summit 2009 will be held on January 12 and 13 in the Science City, Ahmedabad. This business-focussed, premier international conference is organized by the Government of Gujarat and partnered by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). It will bring together investors, corporations, thought-leaders, business magnets, opinion and policy makers on a single platform. A biennial event, the Summit has been a resounding success in the past attracting several companies from Asia and Europe to establish their presence in Gujarat, the most industrialized State in India, ranked first with a proposed investment of USD 17.8 billion in 86 projects accounting for 25.8 per cent of total investment in India. The event has a major focus on the Pharmaceuticals/Biotech Sector and the state would highlight on the Pharma/Biotech segment opportunities like Clinical Trials,CRAMS,API,Manufacturing, Agri-Biotech,Marine Biotech, SEZs to name a few and would like to draw investors (VCs,Private equity Players) from countries like US,Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Brazil,Germany,China,Japan,Singapore to name a few to invest in the Pharma/Biotech segment. The key purpose of the summit is to project Gujurat as the next investment destination for the Pharma/Biotech Sector and to create a strong brand image of the state and to highlight on the key opportunities offered by the sector in this powered investor platform. CII being the Apex Industry Chamber of the Country and has connected Indian Industry to the the Global Industry across sectors,is partnering with Gujarat to work together in projecting the state as the next big investment destination and to help wooing Global Investors to invest in the state which has a rich industry base in Pharma and Biotech in various segments and has ample opportunities to offer to this Global Investor community.
