C Annamalai has been elected new president of the Pharmaceutical Distributors Organisation (PDO) of Chennai, the patented drug distributors' wing, in the annual general body meeting held in the city recently. Former PDO president Satheesh Kothari is the new treasurer of the organisation. Kothari was acting as president for the last some years.
Former secretary G Somaskandan will continue to act in the same position. M Lekshmanan was elected as vice-president and V Prakash as joint secretary. The general body has elected 31 members to the executive committee.
The annual general body meeting of the Madras Pharmaceutical Wholesalers' Association (MPWA), one of the major pharmaceutical traders' associations in Tamil Nadu, re-elected M Gyan Chand Bohara as its new president and K Goutham Chand Nahata as secretary.
Sohanlal G Jain and P V Kashiviswanathan will act as vice-presidents and U Yaswanth Kumar as joint secretary. M Dinesh Kumar Jain is the treasurer of the association. An executive committee was formed by incorporating 17 members.
