Maneesh Pharmaceuticals Ltd has tied up with Disney Consumer Products (DCP) to market its 'Smyle' range of baby care products under the Disney Baby brand. Maneesh Pharmaceuticals entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with DCP to develop, manufacture and market entire Disney Baby care range of products for South Asia and India.
Maneesh Pharmaceuticals under its marketing division of Svizera Health Remedies will enter the niche market of baby care products primarily catering to personal care needs of infants. Disney Baby care products are developed specifically taking into consideration the infant care requirements. Disney products contain ingredients which are hypoallergenic, stimulating, natural and safe for the babies, a release said here.
The most loved Disney stars including 'Winnie the Pooh and friends' and 'Mickey/Mini Mouse and friends' will adorn the Disney Baby range. The Disney Baby care product range includes baby massage oil, soap, lotion and wet wipes among other products. Managing director of Maneesh Pharmaceuticals Vinay Sapte, in the release, said his company has consistently leveraged its expertise across the entire value chain by providing the best of products in the OTC and FMHG range.
"We are committed to give quality products in the baby care range and we are using the same high standards of manufacturing that we use for our pharmaceutical products at our WHO - cGMP approved facilities," said Sapte.
Disney Baby personal care products will be marketed using Maneesh's existing distribution channel by equipping them with FMHG (fast moving healthcare goods) distribution through 500 outlets all over India. Maneesh Pharmaceuticals entered the OTC segment through Svizera Health Remedies in the year 2006, subsequent to the acquisition of the Smyle brand from Kopran Pharmaceuticals.
