NIMS, MakroCare to host pharmacovigilance workshop on Nov 14

In a bid to impart fundamental and important information about pharmacovigilance to the medical and its allied community, Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) and the global clinical services firm MakroCare have joined hands to host a one-day workshop on pharmacovigilance on November 14, 2008 at Learning Centre, Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad. "We found the effective way to impart fundamental and important information about pharmacovigilance to the medical and its allied community is through awareness programmes like the proposed workshop. This initiative will help the participants in detecting and reporting adverse drug reactions (ADRs) as per regulatory requirement," said the organisers. Topics including post marketing surveillance, adverse drug reactions and statistical methods in pharmacovigilance and signal detection would be covered in this one-day workshop by eminent experts in the field. Physicians, pharmacists, investigators, pharmacy graduates and pharmaceutical / clinical / healthcare professionals are expected to benefit from this conference.
